Okay, so things didn’t go quite to plan in America. I’m now back home on the Isle of Wight. Unfortunately, I have returned alone and about £3,500 down. I don’t even have a tan. In the short time that I’ve been searching, I’ve already learnt not to get my hopes up about finding her this early. My search epitomises the phrase ‘needle in a haystack’ and I won’t give up.
My search has taken me to Chicago, Illinois where it is so, so cold. Apologies for the short blog entry, but I’m going to bed. 32 hours on a train has almost killed me.

I have arrived safely in America. I feel a bit like Macaulay Culkin in Home Alone 2; except Macaulay Culkin managed to fend off the criminals in New York and I almost certainly won’t.

My flight leaves in thirteen hours and I’m starting to feel pretty nervous. I’ve been so busy over the past week I haven’t really had time to worry about anything, but as I sit here with my boarding pass in hand it has all got a bit real.
If it takes me a while to reply to emails, don’t be offended. I’ve received about 900 emails in the past three days and I’m struggling to get through them all.
I’ll update when I stumble across an internet café somewhere. I’m going to find her.

I realise that I haven’t updated this blog with anything too exciting for a while now and I’d just like to assure you that I’m still actively looking for the girl of my dreams. It’s been over five months since I had my dream now, and any memory of the girl’s actual appearance has vanished. Whenever I imagine her, all I see is my bloody awful drawing. This really is a terrible thing.
I’ve started receiving more and more emails from girls around the world, and although my bank manager won’t be happy, I have decided to start searching outside of the United Kingdom. So, last night I booked a flight ticket to the USA. I leave Britain the day before Valentine’s Day on Monday.

Bloody freezing, isn’t it?
I just wanted to post an update to let you know that I’m still alive and still very much looking for the girl of my dreams. I’m getting less and less press coverage now, which is to be expected, I suppose. However, less coverage means less hits, as well as less chance of me finding her. I urge you, if you haven’t already forwarded this website to your friends then please do so.
Anyway, with the thousands of emails I have received from girls in the UK and still no luck finding her it’s looking less and less likely that she’s close to home. I’ll keep you updated.
Absolutely gutted. Unfortunately, HMV girl turned out not to be her. I don’t know what else to say. The search continues…

Adam,i think i work with the girl of your dreams, she’s looks just like your drawing, but she is not willing to email you as she’s going out with some guy called jamie who is a total knob.
if you want to check her out they’re meeting in oxford tomorrow for lunch at 1pm outside her work – hmv in the high street
